James Li - International Entity Representative
Good morning, delegates!
I’m James, a rising senior at Shanghai American School, Puxi Campus. Having pursued MUN over the course of 6 years throughout two schools, I’m delighted to be participating in my final SHAMUN as your International Entity Representative.
With this role, I’ll be focusing myself in upholding the formalities and stances of the various international organizations referenced throughout submitted resolutions. I’ll be personally attending to various resolutions as I communicate thoroughly with delegates throughout the course of debate to offer unique insights and considerations regarding how these international organizations would handle the obligations discussed.
I feel this role greatly reflects the knowledge I’ve accumulated over my 6 years of MUN, having experienced the multifaceted nuances that the program has to offer. I’m hoping to brighten the experiences of other delegates, and to share my days with the brilliant individuals that assemble my fellow attendees.
See you in October!

Millie Lee - President
Hello delegates!
I am Millie, a junior at Shanghai American School Puxi (SASPX). I am incredibly honored to have this opportunity to serve as your President of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) Committee in SHAMUN XXIV focusing on the issue of “strengthening responses to global financial crimes and the financing of terrorism”.
With illicit funds flowing through the global financial system, the IMF must aim to establish protocols to restrict countries from committing financial crimes, while liquidating pipelines allowing these transactions to happen. It is suggested that you look into ways to collaboratively initiate policies to mitigate the two main types of operations: groups of individuals committing financial crimes, and governments funding terrorist organizations.
Through our efforts, I am confident that this conference will be able to shine a light on these issues most concerning us today.
Looking forward to seeing you all in October!

Ikhee Lee - Deputy President
Greetings and salutations, all delegates!
My name is Ikhee, and I am a junior here at SASPX. My MUN journey began in 7th grade as a delegate in the Economic and Social Council of DIMUN, and eight conferences later, it is my honor and utmost pleasure to serve as a deputy president for the SHAMUN International Monetary Fund.
The topic I will be working with for this conference is “Developing international frameworks for the integration of central digital currencies.” Central Bank Digital Currencies (CBDC), as the name suggests, are digitalized currencies monitored by central banks. However, the seemingly harmless shift from fiat money to digitalized currencies has created various cybersecurity risks and privacy concerns. I look forward to hearing sophisticated arguments tackling cardinal socio-economic issues that jeopardize the world around us.
See you soon!

Vivian Guo - Deputy President
Greetings, all delegates!
My name is Vivian, and I am a current senior at Huili School Shanghai, Wellington College China. I have been involved in MUN for 2 years only but have participated in more than 7 conferences and getting top awards all the time - for SHAMUN XXIV, I am honored to serve as the Deputy President of the International Monetary Fund (IMF).
Our school did not have a MUN club at first since we were the founding students, and my buddy and I were the only two who were knowledgeable about MUN, so we formed the club, and I became the school's MUN student head coach. I've discovered that coaching MUN is really essential and exciting. I've coached kids from G6 to G11 to get awards of over 85%, so if you want to learn more about MUN techniques in particular, I'd be happy to share!
My topic of specialization will be Promoting the establishment and cultivation of micro-finance institutions (MFIs) - As an IB HL Economics student, the first UN SDG addresses the issue of poverty, micro-finance helps to include those who are excluded from the formal financial system. By providing small loans, MFIs enable individuals to start or expand micro-enterprises, which can lead to increased income and a pathway out of poverty.
Hopefully, this year's SHAMUN will offer us with an excellent opportunity to debate important global issues.
