Committee Information

 Beginner Committees:

The Disarmament Commission, Economics and Social Council, and Human Rights Council will be the official beginners’ committees. In these committees, the chairs will give a brief introduction to MUN on the first day, which includes teaching delegates how to write resolutions, speeches, and amendments. With their mostly smaller committee sizes, we hope that the chairs can provide each delegate with more support. Delegates will not be expected to come with a resolution or opening speech for beginner committees, but are definitely welcome to prepare these materials beforehand if they would like.

 Regular Committees:

Regular committees include mid-level and high-level committees. These include General Assembly committees, Security Council, Historic Security Council, and Crisis. The main difference between the beginner committees and other committees is that beginner committees will provide a brief introduction to MUN procedure, resolutions, and speeches on the first day, while in regular committees delegates will be expected to come with a resolution or opening speech. Beginners are more than welcome to join this committee.
